France 2011 Bravo et Merci

The French Post issued this stamp with the rubric "Bravo et Merci" or "Bravo & Thank you" in English, on 23 October 2011, the day of the final of the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Unfortunately, they lost to the "All Blacks" 7-8; however, this stamp is an acknowledgement of the efforts put in by the French team, as were not even expected to have reached the semi-finals.

NZ 2011 Rugby World Cup Champions!

A day after the All Blacks team came off the pitch having beaten Les Bleus 8-7, thus becomeing the 2011 Rugby World Cup Champion, NZ Post released a special souvenir stamp sheet to celebrate the victory. The sheet features the photo of the victorious team hoisting the Web Ellis Cup captioned by the final score of the game, and on each side of the photo are 3 All Black stamps.
Earlier, before the start of the tournament, NZ Post had also released a special personalised stamp sheet featuring the All Blacks stamps together with photos of the All Blacks in action.
