Guyana 2013 Remembering Nelson Mandela

This Guyana souvenir sheet was released 15 December 2013 in memoriam of Nelson Mandela. There 2 sets of 3 different stamps in it, and one of the stamp design shows Nelson Mandela in Springboks jersey posing together with the Rugby World Cup, also known as the Web Ellis Cup; this photograph was probably taken in 1995 when South Africa hosted and won the 3rd Rugby World Cup.

NZ 2011 Rugby World Cup Champions!

A day after the All Blacks team came off the pitch having beaten Les Bleus 8-7, thus becomeing the 2011 Rugby World Cup Champion, NZ Post released a special souvenir stamp sheet to celebrate the victory. The sheet features the photo of the victorious team hoisting the Web Ellis Cup captioned by the final score of the game, and on each side of the photo are 3 All Black stamps.
Earlier, before the start of the tournament, NZ Post had also released a special personalised stamp sheet featuring the All Blacks stamps together with photos of the All Blacks in action.

New Zealand 2011 3D Web Ellis Cup

NZ Post is releasing on 7 September 2011 a self-adhesive stamp featuring the Web Ellis Cup, the prize of the Rugby World Cup. This special issue will have the trophy in 3D, being produced using Motionstamp HDR 3D technology, making the cup stand out against the stylistic interpretation of the Mangopare (Hammerhead Shark) and the Koru (Fern Shoot) in the background.
